Northern Wild Rice is a seed from an Aquatic Grass and has a chewy texture with a nut-like flavor. This rice is very dark brown to black in color and is often served with wild game such as venison or pheasant. Try using wild rice in soups or pilafs. It also makes a delicious side dish when cooked with cranberries.
